MLabs is seeking a passionate and talented Founding Member, Data Scientist / AI Engineer to co-create their vision and contribute to groundbreaking projects.
The role involves leading the development of AI solutions to automate business processes, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
The candidate will build advanced agentic LLM/RAG systems, optimizing performance and cost, and making decisions on mixing and matching foundation, fine-tuned, and home-built models for best-in-class product performance.
The position requires collaboration with product engineering teams to understand business requirements and translate them into AI-powered solutions.
The candidate will provide technical leadership, guiding and mentoring other engineers in best practices and coding standards.

Requirements:

The candidate must have experience in deep learning with natural language processing.
A strong understanding of large language models and grounding techniques is required.
Experience in deploying and monitoring AI models in production and at scale is essential.
The candidate should possess strong knowledge of data science in general.
Big picture thinking is necessary to design and implement complex AI algorithms that solve business problems.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required to partner with in-house product teams and clients.
It is nice to have a master's or PhD degree in a quantitative discipline.
Experience with knowledge graph/ontology construction from structured and unstructured data and its use for information retrieval is a plus.
Experience interfacing with disparate remote sources of structured and unstructured data (API, data warehouse, and file-based) is also desirable.
