Description:

Kalos is an early stage, high-growth startup based in San Francisco, CA, focused on building Blue, an AI Agent that optimizes ad campaigns for customer growth.
The company currently has a team of 5 and is looking to hire a Founding Software Engineer as the 6th member.
The role is full-time and can be performed remotely within the USA or in-person in San Francisco.
As a founding engineer, you will not only write code but also influence product development, company culture, and strategic direction.
Responsibilities include building new features rapidly based on customer feedback, owning and shipping core product features, collaborating with founders on product vision and architecture, establishing engineering culture and processes, and mentoring the early team as the company scales.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 4-10 years of experience in software development with a proven track record and the ability to work across the full stack.
A startup mindset is essential; candidates should be resourceful, sharp, and entrepreneurial, with a willingness to take early ownership of projects.
A passion for fast-paced learning and continuous improvement is required.
Experience using LLMs in production and a keen interest in staying at the forefront of AI technology is necessary.
Candidates should have experience in designing and building scalable systems, along with knowledge of modern software engineering practices and frameworks.
A strong commitment to user experience and a desire to deliver polished, impactful work is crucial.
Candidates should possess strong product intuition and the ability to think beyond just coding.
