Remote Freelance Front End Developer

Description:

• Develop high-quality content that addresses user search queries and ranks well online, such as creating tools like a "wedding budget calculator"
• Translate wireframes and designs into functional websites using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
• Create reusable code and libraries for future projects
• Test and debug to ensure flawless functionality and performance of designs
• Collaborate with project managers, writers, designers, and clients to deliver exceptional work
• Contribute to improving and iterating on the Siege Media website

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of experience demonstrating proficiency in front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Proficiency with the Bootstrap framework
• Experience in building mobile-first, responsive web pages
• Expertise with Advanced Custom Fields and Custom Post Types in WordPress
• Strong understanding of WordPress themes, plugins, and customization
• Familiarity with headless CMS platforms like Contentful, Prismic, and Bloomreach
• Knowledge of site speed optimization practices and tools like PageSpeed Insights and caching
• Understanding of SEO principles and ADA/WCAG compliance for web accessibility
• Strong interpersonal and project management skills
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently
• Familiarity with Git for source control
