Description:
The Motley Fool is seeking a Freelance Mobile App Developer with expert-level skills in React Native for a contract role lasting at least 6-12 months.
This position is fully remote, requiring applicants to reside in the United States.
The role involves collaborating with a high-performance development team to deliver web applications to millions of users in the fintech and media space.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and deploying the next iteration of The Motley Fool's mobile application.
The developer will implement clean, efficient, and responsive user interfaces using React Native and work with the design team to translate Figma designs into functional mobile experiences.
The position requires utilizing Expo for building and deploying iOS and Android apps, integrating APIs, and optimizing applications for speed and scalability.
The developer will also identify and troubleshoot UX problems, adhere to development best practices, provide project estimates, and stay updated with new technologies.
Requirements:
Proven experience in mobile app development with a strong portfolio of projects built on React Native is required.
Proficiency in using React Native for both iOS and Android applications is necessary.
Experience with the Expo platform for developing and deploying universal React applications is essential.
Strong competence in translating Figma, Sketch, or other design formats into responsive mobile applications is needed.
Familiarity with component libraries and the ability to create scalable and reusable components is required.
A solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript foundations and their practical application is necessary.
Knowledge of state management libraries such as Redux or MobX is required.
Experience in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests is essential.
