Description:
CycloTech GmbH is seeking a Freelance UAV Embedded Software Engineer to work on implementing custom flight stack for drones or UAVs.
The engineer will collaborate with the engineering team to develop and optimize embedded systems for advanced autonomous platforms.
The role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge UAV technology and contribute to high-impact projects.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in real-time operating systems (RTOS) like NuttX and ChibiOS, and familiarity with Linux for higher-powered UAVs.
Strong understanding of UAV flight dynamics, control systems, and sensor fusion algorithms.
Experience with CAN, UAVCAN, I2C, UART, SPI, Mavlink protocols, and integrating sensors and actuators into the PX4 architecture.
Knowledge of CMake build systems and configuring build environments.
Hands-on experience in UAV embedded testing and troubleshooting in both hardware and software.
Familiarity with UAV Simulation software (SITL) such as Gazebo.
Advantageous to have knowledge of Matlab and Simulink (UAV toolbox).
