Remote Front-end Developer

Description:

• Cognito is an online education platform aimed at guiding secondary school students from learning new material to exam readiness.

• They are seeking a passionate Front-end Developer to join their fully remote team and contribute to shaping the future of learning.
• The role involves primarily front-end development using ReactJS, with occasional backend work on Node and MongoDB.
• Responsibilities include developing new features, optimizing UI/UX, implementing responsive design, participating in code reviews, and contributing to code quality improvements.
• The position also involves limited back-end development on the MERN stack and supporting deployments to AWS.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in JavaScript.
• Strong React skills, including working with Functional Components and GraphQL via Apollo.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, unit testing, and Git.
• Effective written, verbal, and code communication skills.
• A collaborative mindset with a commitment to transparency and feedback.
• Additional experience in the MERN stack, especially MongoDB, and AWS infrastructure is a plus.
