Remote Front-end Engineer

Description:

• The company CARTO is seeking a Senior Front-end Engineer to join their product team and work on projects related to data management, visualization, and analytics.
• The position is primarily remote but requires a candidate based in a compatible time zone with Central European Time.
• The engineer will work on product areas such as Workflows, Analytics Toolbox, and Data Observatory.
• Responsibilities include working on Workflows, a visual analytics application, focusing on UI/UX development with TypeScript, React, and eventually SQL.
• The engineer will lead and manage tech initiatives, collaborate with other teams, apply good development practices, and have the opportunity to work with world-class engineers in the geospatial industry.

Requirements:

• A solid 3+ years of experience in web development with proficiency in tools and processes like git/GitHub, documentation, testing, profiling, Webpack/Vite.
• Deep understanding of Front-end technologies including React, Redux, React Hooks, and styled-components.
• Fluency in TypeScript.
• Ability to learn new tech stacks quickly, analyze complex technical issues, and provide effective solutions.
• Experience leading and delivering projects end to end.
• Autonomy, curiosity, good energy, and a collaborative mindset.
