Description:
The Front End Engineer II (Remote) will be responsible for developing mobile-first, single page applications using Ember.js for various devices and environments.
They will convert mockups and wireframes into maintainable, reusable components and write new JavaScript and legacy plugins.
The role involves validating and testing for 508 compliance and cross-browser/platform/device compatibility, as well as linting, evaluating, and testing all JavaScript.
The engineer will write clean, maintainable, and reusable code, assist in bug discovery and diagnosis, and participate in Front End and scrum team meetings.
Additionally, they will maintain code libraries, document technical specifications, research solutions, and engage in code standards and reviews.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience developing single page applications with a JavaScript framework like Ember, Angular, or React, and consuming APIs in RESTful or JSON formats.
Proficiency in mobile-first design, fluid layouts, clean, reusable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience creating reusable components for multiple apps, preferably with Ember, and familiarity with ES2015 and Node.js.
Knowledge of Gulp.js or similar build tools, writing unit, integration, and acceptance/UI tests, and working in an agile environment.
A Bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction, computer science, or related field (or equivalent experience) is required, along with a high school diploma.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $89,300 to $115,000 annually, based on qualifications, education, skill set, experience, and internal equity.
