Remote Front End iOS Engineer

Description:

• Carry1st is Africa’s leading publisher of mobile games and digital content, operating at the intersection of games, publishing, and fintech.
• As a Front End iOS Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing features for the Carry1st Shop App.
• You will identify and reduce technical debt while enforcing mobile development standards.
• Collaboration with UX Designers and Product Management is essential to realize the shared vision.
• Your tasks will include building the next generation of consumer products on the iOS platform and developing new user-facing features for the Carry1st Shop’s iOS app.
• You will ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and architect efficient and reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Optimizing the application for maximum speed and scalability while resolving performance issues will also be part of your responsibilities.

Requirements:

• You should have 3+ years of experience in building and releasing iOS apps using Swift and Objective-C, ideally with mobile game or e-commerce apps.
• Proficiency in API integration via SDKs and REST is required.
• You must be skilled in CI/CD processes and unit testing.
• Strong ownership and project-driving skills from start to finish are essential.
• A passion for exploring the latest iOS technologies and frameworks is necessary.
• Bonus points for experience with Android development, producing proof of concepts, or iOS release management.
