Description:
The Front-End Software Engineer Intern will be part of an agile development team, building enterprise-level applications utilizing modern front-end technologies.
The intern will develop high-quality solutions with guidance and direction from other members of the development team.
Responsibilities include collaborating with other software developers, business analysts, and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain business applications.
The intern will assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements, development of user stories, estimates, and work plans.
They will design, develop, and test applications in accordance with established standards and participate in peer code reviews.
Other duties involve assisting with deployments, evaluating the competitive landscape, researching software development trends, and ensuring technical feasibility and flawless implementation.
The intern will also work on migrating existing legacy code to current technologies and standards, refining and tuning systems, analyzing and resolving technical problems, and assessing opportunities for improvement.
Adherence to high-quality development principles, on-time delivery of solutions, and providing third-level support to business users are essential aspects of the role.
Requirements:
Required skills include proficiency in HTML 5, CSS 3.0, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
Understanding of coding best practices, software development lifecycle, source control, release management best practices, debugging, and performance optimization is necessary.
Strong communication skills, initiative to improve solutions, systems, and processes are also required.
Preferred skills include knowledge of Node.js, Redux, MUI, Jest, SQL databases, Git, Kubernetes, Docker, REST, GraphQL, agile development methodologies, and e-commerce.
Education requirements include currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
