Description:
Granicus is seeking Full Stack Web Developers for their remote team in Costa Rica.
The role involves a variety of website development tasks, including setting up, modifying, building, and maintaining websites and data-driven, cloud-based web applications.
Candidates must have an advanced understanding of front-end and back-end web development, including HTML, server-side programming concepts, T-SQL, and JavaScript.
The position requires proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MongoDB.
Developers will work under the direction of the CMS Lead Developer and are expected to deliver high-quality, error-free work within budget constraints and on time.
Responsibilities include collaborating with the CMS Lead Developer and Project Manager, creating CMS admin tools, testing completed work, managing timelines, and maintaining accurate project documentation.
Candidates must reside in Costa Rica and have permanent work rights in the country.
Fluency in English is required, and resumes must be submitted in English with a hyperlink to a portfolio or GitHub.
Requirements:
A minimum of 1 year of professional web development experience is required.
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and Vanilla JavaScript is essential.
A solid understanding of server-side vs client-side rendering is necessary.
Experience using browser developer tools to debug front-end issues is required.
Familiarity with tools and techniques for optimizing load times and rendering performance is preferred.
Knowledge of responsive design, mobile-first development, and cross-browser compatibility is essential.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and experience with SQL databases is preferred.
Advanced CSS techniques, including Flexbox, Grid, and animations, are required.
An in-depth understanding of modern JavaScript features and web performance optimization techniques is necessary.
Ability to read and interpret error logs and diagnose issues effectively is required.
Strong time management and communication skills are essential.
Familiarity with version control software (Git and/or SVN) is preferred.
Experience with Jira and SCRUM/Agile development methodologies is a plus.
A commitment to staying updated with relevant trends and best practices in the field is required.
