Remote Frontend Engineer

Description:

• The Frontend Engineer position at Fusemachines is a remote contract role for three months with the possibility of extension.
• Responsibilities include developing and maintaining high-quality web applications using HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and TypeScript.
• The role involves collaborating with backend developers to integrate frontend components with microservice API endpoints in GraphQL and REST.
• Other duties include implementing unit tests, staying updated on industry trends, translating wireframes into interactive web experiences, conducting code reviews, and contributing to technical documentation.
• The position also involves planning and executing tests to assess software product usability.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of Frontend development experience and a degree in information technology/management or related fields.
• Required skills include coding in TypeScript, proficiency in HTML5 and CSS/SCSS, experience with GraphQL and REST architectures, unit testing using tools like Jest, familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes, knowledge of Git, and understanding of frontend frameworks like ReactJS or Next.js.
• Additionally, candidates should possess excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
