Remote Frontend Engineer

Description:

• The Frontend Engineer position at Fusemachines is a remote contract role for three months with the possibility of extension.
• Responsibilities include developing and maintaining high-quality, responsive web applications using HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and TypeScript.
• The role involves collaborating with backend developers to integrate frontend components with microservice API endpoints in GraphQL and REST.
• Other duties include implementing unit tests for frontend code, staying updated on industry trends, translating wireframes into interactive web experiences, conducting code reviews, and assisting in technical documentation.
• The position also requires planning and executing tests to assess the usability of software products.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of Frontend development experience and a degree in information technology/management or related fields are required.
• Skills in TypeScript, Node.js, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, microservice API endpoints (GraphQL and REST), unit testing with Jest, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Git, and frontend frameworks like ReactJS or Next.js are necessary.
• The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain composed under pressure.
