Description:

  • As a Frontend Engineer at HackerRank, you will be a key player in accelerating the world's innovation by building a platform for developers to showcase their skills and get hired.
  • You will work on systems supporting screening, interviews, and other product lines, aiming to provide the best developer experience.
  • Responsibilities include scaling products to handle over 100K concurrent users for large remote hiring events and building a platform for a world-class developer experience on the cloud.
  • You will collaborate with product designers and managers to enhance user experience, build front-end components, improve web performance metrics, and set coding standards.
  • Mentoring interns and contributing to key product and tech initiatives will also be part of your role.

Requirements:

  • Strong self-motivated individual with 2+ years of experience in JavaScript-based UI Frameworks, preferably ReactJS.
  • Proficiency in fundamental JavaScript, HTML, CSS, frontend toolings like Webpack, and debugging/testing.
  • Knowledge of browser environments, compatibility, and experience in building multiscreen apps is a bonus.
  • Attention to quality, coding standards, and metrics-driven mindset, especially in Web Performance and Optimization.
  • Nice to have: Understanding of frontend security, exposure to other frameworks, backend APIs, and familiarity with TypeScript.
