Remote Frontend Engineer, Marketplace

Description:

• The Frontend Engineer will work on the Connector Builder and Marketplace at Airbyte, focusing on improving the contributor experience for both Airbyte and community engineers.
• The role involves enhancing the frontend aspects of Connector Builder, contributing to the Python connector development kit, and supporting various teams within Airbyte to utilize Builder effectively.
• Responsibilities include building new features, empowering teams to use Builder, enabling users to publish connectors to the Marketplace, and engaging with the open-source community.
• The Engineer will also work on improving engineering processes, writing high-leverage code, and mentoring other engineers.

Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of frontend technologies, specifically Javascript and React.
• Experience with Python and willingness to read code and build prototypes.
• Nice to have: familiarity with other programming languages like Java and Kotlin.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience in building developer tools and/or B2B applications.
• Direct experience working with product users, onboarding, and supporting them.
• Leadership experience in engineering, mentoring, and supporting other teams.
• Strong desire to continuously improve user experience and influence without authority.
• Passion for continuous learning and development at both personal and team levels.
