Remote Frontend Engineer, Wallet

Description:

• Base is seeking a Frontend Engineer to join the Wallet team to help bring the next billion users onchain.
• The role involves building and maintaining frontend web and mobile applications with high quality standards.
• The engineer will work at the forefront of onchain app development to create simple and delightful user experiences.
• Responsibilities include open sourcing web apps and libraries, and supporting community contributions and issues.
• The engineer will assist teams within Coinbase in building onchain products by leveraging industry best practices and modern app development patterns.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 1 year in developing web and mobile apps and shipping user-facing features using JavaScript and modern frameworks like React and NextJS.
• Experience in developing and shipping user-facing features with onchain components is required.
• Applicants should possess deep user empathy and be willing to engage with users daily to build product intuition.
• Familiarity with current trends and best practices in frontend architecture and onchain app development, including security, performance, and usability, is essential.
• Candidates should be capable of driving product and design lifecycles and collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and product managers.
• Writing high quality, well-tested, and maintainable code is a must.

• The target annual salary for this position is $149,500 CAD.
