Description:
As a Front-end Shopify Developer, you will work on the development and maintenance of various Shopify and Shopify Plus e-commerce websites, primarily using a headless approach.
You will build e-commerce sites in Shopify and Shopify Plus.
Your role includes contributing to the development of open source software, HTML5/CSS/JavaScript, and common web technologies essential for creating seamless multi-channel experiences.
You will work on solutions for mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms.
Regular website testing will be performed to ensure functionality, including logging issues, detailing bugs, and making recommendations for improvements to project managers.
You will manage daily website updates, edits, changes, or asset uploads within the content management system.
Collaborating with project managers to support new business sales and pitches will be part of your responsibilities.
You should be knowledgeable in security and personal data protection principles, including GDPR.
Developing testing plans and troubleshooting eCommerce-related issues will be required.
You will assist with website conversion and analytics.
Monitoring and managing website uptime and performance will be part of your duties.
You will design and test pages across different browsers, devices, and clients.
Advanced debugging techniques and the use of browser developer tools will be implemented.
Requirements:
You must have professional working proficiency in both German and English.
A minimum of 5 years of experience with TypeScript and either React.js or Vue.js is required, with good knowledge of Next.js being ideal.
You should have at least 3 years of experience in Shopify Development, preferably with experience using Shopify Plus.
General experience in building, launching, and maintaining stores, along with knowledge of the admin system, is necessary.
A strong understanding of Shopify 2.0 and experience working with a made theme and/or Storefront API is required.
Experience with Liquid templating is essential.
You should have experience implementing and debugging third-party Shopify apps, as well as creating custom solutions when necessary.
Familiarity with Shopify's object/properties, AJAX API, and Meta fields is required.
Thorough testing and debugging skills using browser console and external tools are necessary.
Experience in developing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile is required.
You should have experience working with third-party services and APIs, including specific plugins for Shopify.
