Oowlish is seeking a Front-End Software Engineer to join an innovative AI-driven SaaS startup focused on transforming research and knowledge management.
The role involves developing and optimizing responsive, user-centric web interfaces using ReactJS and modern JavaScript technologies.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining web applications, ensuring performance and responsiveness across devices, and implementing clean, maintainable code using HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
The engineer will ensure cross-browser compatibility, create responsive designs, and work with RESTful APIs while managing application state using libraries like Redux.
Participation in Agile development processes, sprint planning, and code reviews is expected.
The role also involves optimizing web applications for maximum speed and scalability and contributing to front-end testing strategies using JavaScript testing frameworks.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 2+ years of demonstrated experience in frontend development.
A proficient understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+) is required.
Strong experience with ReactJS, including key fundamentals such as JSX, Virtual DOM, and lifecycle methods, is essential.
Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux is necessary.
Solid experience working with RESTful services/APIs is required.
A good understanding of asynchronous programming (Promises, async/await) is needed.
Familiarity with JavaScript testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha) is expected.
Proficiency with Git and version control best practices is required.
An understanding of web performance optimization techniques is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable working in Agile development teams.
