Description:

  • Esper is seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer (React) to contribute to their mission of empowering dynamic and responsive policymaking in government.
  • The role involves building and maintaining features and business logic for applications.
  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining multiple React applications, libraries, and plugins.
  • The engineer will write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality products.
  • Continuous improvement of application performance, reliability, and security is expected.
  • The position also includes mentoring junior engineers on frontend best practices and staying updated with the latest frontend technologies.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of experience in frontend development.
  • Proficiency in React and Typescript is essential.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines are important.
  • Candidates should be self-starters with a passion for building great user experiences and an understanding of software development processes.
  • Flexibility and openness to new ideas and ways of working are desired.
  • Bonus points for experience in js/node library management.
