Description:
Esper is seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer (React) to contribute to their mission of empowering dynamic and responsive policymaking in government.
The role involves building and maintaining features and business logic for applications.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining multiple React applications, libraries, and plugins.
The engineer will write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality products.
Continuous improvement of application performance, reliability, and security is expected.
The position also includes mentoring junior engineers on frontend best practices and staying updated with the latest frontend technologies.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of experience in frontend development.
Proficiency in React and Typescript is essential.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines are important.
Candidates should be self-starters with a passion for building great user experiences and an understanding of software development processes.
Flexibility and openness to new ideas and ways of working are desired.
Bonus points for experience in js/node library management.
