Description:

• Starburst is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to join their Engineering organization in Warsaw, Poland, with remote work options available.
• The role involves designing, developing, and supporting the Dell Data Lakehouse platform in collaboration with Dell Technologies.
• The engineer will work closely with UX and product management to create user-friendly interfaces and workflows.
• Daily responsibilities include developing and supporting new and existing product features, collaborating with global teams, learning new technologies, and providing exceptional customer support for both internal and external customers.
• The position emphasizes continuous improvement of engineering processes, tests, and systems to enhance code base scalability and team productivity.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in software development.
• A passion for software engineering is essential.
• Experience in implementing web-based user interfaces using TypeScript and a modern web frontend framework such as React, Angular, or Ember is required.
• Demonstrated ownership, grit, and a bias for action are core values sought by Starburst.
• Familiarity with software engineering and design best practices is necessary.
• Experience in Java development is a plus but not mandatory.
• Bonus points for familiarity with Trino and experience contributing to open-source software.
