The ideal candidate will spend 70% of their time on front-end tasks and 20% on backend tasks.
Responsibilities include creating high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code and APIs using both backend and frontend technologies.
The engineer will influence the development of user-centric features for data scientists and engineers.
Participation in architectural decisions and code/design reviews is expected to ensure high standards of quality and performance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
The candidate should enjoy working as part of a team and tackling large, ambiguous problems independently.

Requirements:

A minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience as a generalist, with a focus on frontend and some backend exposure.
Prior experience working in a startup or as part of a small team is essential.
The candidate should thrive in new or existing projects and make significant contributions.
Proficiency in React and its core principles is required.
Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript is necessary.
Familiarity with backend technologies such as Python, Go, or Java is expected.
Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Pytorch, Spark) is highly desired.
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience is required.
