Description:
Wayflyer is seeking a talented Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong focus on front-end development, particularly in TypeScript and React.
The role involves building and enhancing user interfaces for financial products, ensuring high-quality, reusable components.
The engineer will collaborate with product and design teams to create intuitive interfaces for ecommerce brands to access and manage funding.
Responsibilities include creating responsive layouts for various devices and browsers, maintaining code quality through documentation and testing, and participating in code reviews.
The position requires working alongside backend teams to integrate frontend features with financial services infrastructure and making technical decisions that impact customer-facing applications.
The engineer will also identify and implement performance improvements for fast, reliable user experiences.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Candidates must have 3+ years of professional experience in software development with a focus on front-end development.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and extensive experience with React is essential.
Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript fundamentals is required.
Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming patterns is necessary.
A working knowledge of Python and Django is preferred, or a willingness to learn.
Solid understanding of version control with Git is required.
Experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright or Vitest is necessary.
Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
Excellent communication abilities and a proven track record of successful team collaboration are required.
