Description:

  • Wayflyer is seeking a talented Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong focus on front-end development, particularly in TypeScript and React.
  • The role involves building and enhancing user interfaces for financial products, ensuring high-quality, reusable components.
  • The engineer will collaborate with product and design teams to create intuitive interfaces for ecommerce brands to access and manage funding.
  • Responsibilities include creating responsive layouts for various devices and browsers, maintaining code quality through documentation and testing, and participating in code reviews.
  • The position requires working alongside backend teams to integrate frontend features with financial services infrastructure and making technical decisions that impact customer-facing applications.
  • The engineer will also identify and implement performance improvements for fast, reliable user experiences.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • Candidates must have 3+ years of professional experience in software development with a focus on front-end development.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and extensive experience with React is essential.
  • Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript fundamentals is required.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming patterns is necessary.
  • A working knowledge of Python and Django is preferred, or a willingness to learn.
  • Solid understanding of version control with Git is required.
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright or Vitest is necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent communication abilities and a proven track record of successful team collaboration are required.
