Description:
The position is for a Frontend Software Engineer focusing on Internationalization at Canva.
The role involves designing, developing, and deploying solutions for software development, working closely with leads, designers, and product managers to deliver features and experiments to customers worldwide.
The primary focus is on web frontend using Typescript, but may involve working with other languages and environments.
The engineer will facilitate knowledge sharing, advocate for engineering needs to non-technical team members, and find opportunities for cross-team collaboration.
The role requires initiative, ownership in achieving goals, improving processes and solutions, and working collaboratively with team members.
Ideal candidates will have commercial experience in a software development environment, experience in building internal or external SDKs or APIs, and knowledge of frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript, and MobX.
Strong problem-solving skills, passion for performance debugging, and good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Nice to have experience includes localizing or internationalizing a software product.
Requirements:
Commercial experience in a software development environment.
Experience in building internal or external SDKs or APIs.
Knowledge of frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript, and MobX.
Strong problem-solving skills and good written and verbal communication skills.
Passion for performance debugging.
Nice to have: Experience in localizing or internationalizing a software product.
