Shield AI is a venture-backed defense technology company founded in 2015, focused on protecting service members and civilians with intelligent, autonomous systems.
The Hivemind Forge team is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and evaluating instances of the Hivemind AI pilot and commander.
The Forge product is an AI Factory that utilizes a service-oriented architecture through an SDK, CLI, and web portal.
The team aims to orchestrate autonomous agents in sophisticated simulations and pioneer software configurations on robotic systems.
As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will lead the development of the Forge product web portal and integrated installer.
The web portal serves as a user interface for Operators to rehearse missions, plan scenarios, and analyze performance.
You will build custom editors, develop extensible user interfaces, create RESTful APIs, and produce end-user documentation.

Requirements:

A minimum of 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 2 years of experience; or equivalent experience is required.
At least 7 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing production-quality software systems is necessary.
A minimum of 3 years of experience developing software to interface with web APIs, including proficiency with gRPC and RESTful APIs is required.
At least 1 year of demonstrated experience with React, Node, Typescript, and Material UI is essential.
A BS/MS in Computer Science or a similar degree, or equivalent practical experience is required.
A demonstrated record of hard work, trustworthiness, high standards, and kindness towards others is essential.

The salary range for this position is $150,697 - $312,540 a year, with additional bonuses and benefits.
Full-time regular employees receive a comprehensive offer package that includes pay within the listed range, bonuses, benefits, and equity.
Temporary employees receive a pay package within the listed range and a temporary benefits package applicable after 60 days of employment.
Salary compensation is influenced by various factors, including skill set, experience, licenses, certifications, and work location.
