Description:
Radical I/O is seeking a part-time Frontend Web Engineer with experience in JavaScript React/Redux.
The role involves developing B2B and B2C single-page web apps in ReactJS/Redux and website templates.
The engineer will work on medium to large web applications consuming data from JSON APIs.
Responsibilities include building new UIs, bug fixes, and integrating UIs with APIs.
The position offers direct support from a Senior Frontend Engineer, CTO, and UX/UI Designer.
Experience with government, public sector, or MACH-related projects is a bonus.
Requirements:
Must have experience in frontend JavaScript web app development using ReactJS and vanilla JS.
Proficiency in crafting UIs and interactions using HTML and CSS is required.
Familiarity with accessibility, mobile web responsiveness, form validations, text localization, and Redux state management.
Bonus skills include full-stack JavaScript development, TypeScript, Angular, and experience with headless CMS.
Minimum 3 years of full-time software development experience with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
A degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant field, or equivalent experience/certificates.
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to write clean code, and adhere to software design principles.
Must be a team player, comfortable with ambiguity, and enjoy continuous learning.
Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Must be authorized to work full-time in Canada and currently reside in Canada.
Benefits:
Part-time role with 20 to 24 hours per week, over 3 or 4 days within Mon-Thurs schedule.
Hourly rate between $35/hr to $50/hr based on skills and experience.
Opportunity for extension or conversion to full-time role based on performance and company growth.
