Description:
BD Diesel Performance is hiring a Full-Stack PHP Developer to join their team and manage their custom-built internal dashboard application.
This application supports various business operations, including inventory management, production tracking, sales reporting, and e-commerce integrations like Shopify and GCommerce.
The ideal candidate should be proficient in the full web development stack and comfortable working within a mature, custom PHP framework.
Responsibilities include troubleshooting, optimizing, and extending existing functionality, as well as developing new features.
This is a remote position, and candidates can be based in the United States or British Columbia, Canada.
The role reports to the Information Technology Solutions Manager.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Strong command of PHP 8+ fundamentals, including OOP and procedural programming paradigms is necessary.
Extensive experience with database interaction using PDO, including prepared statements, transaction management, and error handling is required.
Proficiency in writing complex and optimized SQL queries for MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server is essential.
Experience working within and extending a custom PHP framework is needed.
A solid understanding of web security principles and common vulnerabilities is required.
Familiarity with file system operations and developing unattended PHP scripts is necessary.
Mastery of Vanilla JavaScript for complex client-side logic and experience with custom JavaScript libraries is required.
Proficiency with Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles is essential.
Experience with AJAX for asynchronous communication and client-side form handling is necessary.
Ability to understand and work within the architecture of a database-driven, custom-built application is required.
Proficiency with a version control system, preferably Git, and experience with debugging tools is necessary.
