One of their clients is an education platform focused on ensuring that every child can learn foundational skills in Reading, Writing, and Math.
The platform combines a proprietary curriculum, integrated lesson plans, expertly trained tutors, and a purpose-built technology platform.
The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications.
The role involves working closely with the engineering team to ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and user-friendly.
The developer will use React.js for the front end and Ruby for the back end to deliver an exceptional user experience for tutors and students.
Daily tasks include developing and maintaining high-performance web applications, collaborating with the product team, writing clean and maintainable code, conducting testing and debugging, and providing technical support to the Operations team and tutors.
The developer will also guide and mentor other team members and take a user-focused approach to problem-solving.

Requirements:

Advanced/fluent English skills are mandatory, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on React.js and Ruby is required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is necessary.
Experience with database management and optimization, including Postgres and Redshift, is required.
Proficiency with version control systems, such as Git, and CI/CD pipeline automation is essential.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are necessary.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are required, with a proven ability to work in cross-functional and remote team environments.
The candidate must provide support during on-call rotations and maintain flexible working hours to accommodate school schedules across time zones.
Nice-to-have skills include experience with modern web technologies, familiarity with Angular, experience in an Agile development environment, familiarity with AWS and Heroku, and a background or interest in AI and machine learning modeling as applied to educational tools.
