Remote Full Stack Developer

Description:

• We currently have a vacancy for a Full-stack developer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will work remotely.
• The successful candidate will be integrated into the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team.
• The tasks include assisting with the development of an open-source project, including the core service (NodeJS), the backend API (NodeJS/Express), the frontend UI (NextJS/React), and various auxiliary services.
• The role also involves assisting with infrastructure to facilitate end-to-end testing, building of container images and software packages, and releases.
• The candidate will assist with client tooling and configuration for various data shippers.
• Responsibilities include assisting with configuration, security, and performance improvements of various bundled services, with a specific focus on RedPanda.
• The candidate will also assist with writing and maintaining documentation (Markdown/MDX/Docusaurus).

Requirements:

• A university degree in IT or a relevant discipline, combined with 17 years of relevant working experience in IT is required.
• The candidate must have experience with frontend (React) and backend (NodeJS) development.
• A good understanding of the deployment of web-based microservices, including containers, networking, certificate authorities, REST APIs, and reverse proxies (Traefik) is necessary.
• The candidate should have a good understanding of automation tools to manage infrastructure at scale, including Terraform and Ansible.
• A good understanding of version control with git and source code hosting on GitHub is required.
• Familiarity with cloud providers, particularly Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure, is necessary.
• Experience contributing to or maintaining an open-source project is a plus.
• Experience with streaming data, particularly RedPanda (or Kafka), is a plus.
• Experience with development in Go is a plus.
• Experience with observability is a plus.
• An excellent command of the English language is required.
