Description:

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Cloud Engineer to join a highly motivating and innovative work environment at Next Gen Math, a revolutionary ed-tech company focused on providing dynamic Common Core resources for K12 students.
This is a full-time, remote position with a swing shift start time of noon PST.
The role involves writing clean and maintainable code for new features, supporting existing functionality, and fixing bugs.
You will collaborate with a team of skilled developers to design efficient architecture, mentor other developers, and participate in planning and design discussions.
Daily tasks include using GitLab for code tracking, maintaining cloud platform stability, and coordinating with team members across various time zones.
The company emphasizes continuous deployment, maintaining architecture, and centralized monitoring to ensure high availability, performance, and security of cloud-based applications.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7+ years of experience as a full-stack developer.
Strong skills are required in PHP8+, Laravel 9+, JavaScript, VueJs 2+, HTML, CSS, SCSS, Git, YAML, and JSON.
Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is essential.
Experience in developing and delivering real-world web applications is required.
A strong foundational knowledge in mathematics, including K-8 levels, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus is necessary.
Proficiency with Cloud Platform providers, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is preferred.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Terraform and CI/CD pipeline experience with GitLab CI/CD is preferred.
Candidates should be self-motivated, adaptable to changing technologies, and capable of independently owning complete features/products.

The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
