BD Diesel Performance is hiring a Full-Stack PHP Developer to take ownership of their custom-built internal dashboard application.
This application supports various business operations, including inventory management, production tracking, sales reporting, and e-commerce integrations like Shopify and GCommerce.
The ideal candidate should be proficient across the full web development stack and comfortable working within a mature, custom PHP framework.
Responsibilities include troubleshooting, optimizing, and extending existing functionality while developing new features.
This is a remote position, and candidates can be based in either the United States or British Columbia, Canada.
The role reports to the Information Technology Solutions Manager.

Requirements:

Candidates must maintain, debug, and optimize existing PHP code within the custom framework and various application modules.
They should develop new features and modules based on business requirements while adhering to existing coding standards and architectural patterns.
The role requires working with and extending custom JavaScript libraries and UI components to enhance front-end functionality and user experience.
Candidates must interact with multiple database systems (MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server via ODBC/SQLSRV) using PDO and write and optimize complex SQL queries.
Integration with external APIs (e.g., Shopify) and processing data from various sources, including EDI files, is required.
They should develop and maintain scripts for unattended data synchronization and batch processing tasks.
The role involves generating various document types (PDF, Excel) and handling image manipulation on the server-side.
Candidates must implement and maintain security best practices throughout the application.
Collaboration with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions is essential.
Contribution to code reviews and knowledge sharing within the team is expected.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
