The Decentraland Foundation is seeking an experienced full-stack engineer with strong backend capabilities to join their remote-friendly team.
The role involves developing web applications and services along with the required infrastructure to build the metaverse.
The ideal candidate should have a proactive personality with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
Responsibilities include developing new features, iterating quickly, and creating innovative solutions to complex problems.
The candidate will deal with existing code and products to provide support and enhance their efficiency, scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
Interaction with other teams and stakeholders is essential to understand and realize the platform's short, medium, and long-term goals.
The candidate will identify problems and bottlenecks and create innovative solutions for them.
The tech stack includes TypeScript, Node.js, React, Redux, Open API, AWS, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Pulumi, Metabase, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, CloudFlare, PostgreSQL, and REDIS.

Requirements:

Candidates must have experience building REST and WebSocket APIs in scalable backend services.
Proficiency in React and extensive knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript is required.
Experience with service-to-service communication, including message queues and security protection measures, is necessary.
The ability to understand existing products, refactor, and scale them is essential.
Candidates should have experience building, publishing, and maintaining software in production environments.
Experience working with performance, security, and databases is required.
