Description:
Moodle is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join the Marketplace team, which is a peer-to-peer e-commerce platform for Moodle plugins and integrations.
The role is fully remote and open to candidates located in the EMEA region.
Responsibilities include building architecturally consistent software, shipping features and bug fixes, and understanding technical and UX constraints.
The developer will collaborate with UX design and research, contribute to a positive team culture, and identify areas for process improvement.
The position emphasizes maintaining high-quality work standards and promoting Open Source values.
Communication of status, findings, and insights within the team is essential.
Requirements:
Proficiency in PHP, JS (ES6), and SQL is required.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code is essential.
Experience with Symfony and Doctrine ORM, as well as building RESTful API endpoints using Symfony, is important.
Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js) and payment gateways is necessary.
Understanding of modular software design, distributed systems, and event-driven design is preferred.
Experience with testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
Non-technical skills required include fluency in English, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and strong organizational skills.
Candidates should be reliable, accountable, and able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
