Description:

  • Immersive Labs is seeking a bright and enthusiastic Full Stack Developer to join their Engineering team.
  • The role involves participating in building their learning platform, which can be explored in their free community offering.
  • The developer will be responsible for developing a groundbreaking product and will be an important part of a collaborative team.
  • Responsibilities include architecting and delivering innovative product changes, designing and maintaining a reliable codebase, ensuring code quality through test automation, and working on all parts of the system landscape.
  • The developer will also fix bugs, resolve incidents, and participate in an on-call scheme, as well as translate technical concepts for non-technical individuals.
  • Coaching and mentoring other engineers is also part of the role.
  • Success in this position relies on the candidate's approach, skills, and potential for growth.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have extensive experience in building complex web applications or similar software.
  • They should be willing to work with various programming languages and technology stacks, prioritizing feature delivery over tech stack sophistication.
  • Familiarity with the main system landscape components, including Ruby on Rails, React/Typescript, Node.js/Typescript, and Python services, is expected.
  • A solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and HTTP is required.
  • Experience with relational databases is necessary.
  • Candidates should have used Docker and potentially Kubernetes, with experience in Terraform being a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate using tools like Git, Github, and JIRA is essential.
