Remote Full Stack Engineer

Description:

• Vectara is seeking a highly skilled full-stack developer to join their dynamic and growing team.
• The role involves developing and maintaining web applications, participating in the entire application lifecycle, writing clean and functional code, building reusable code and libraries, troubleshooting and debugging applications, and performing UI tests to optimize performance.
• The developer will collaborate with front-end developers, gather technical and design requirements, provide support to internal teams, and identify new features in liaison with developers, designers, stakeholders, and customers.
• This is a remote role on a remote-focused team, requiring great written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer or similar role.
• Strong experience with front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6, TypeScript).
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks/libraries like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Comfortable with Java (collections, concurrency) and writing REST-based services in Java.
• Proficiency with databases such as MySQL or its variants.
• Ability to proactively identify and solve engineering problems.
• Experience using Git to manage changes is a plus.
• Knowledge in gRPC and Protobuf is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Developer or similar role.
