Remote Full Stack Engineer

Description:

• Layer Health, an AI startup spun out of MIT CSAIL, is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join their team.
• The engineer will be responsible for developing new features and product experiences for both internal and customer-facing applications.
• Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining scalable APIs and web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and cultivating an engineering and product culture.
• The role involves working closely with other engineers to design highly scalable and secure applications for critical healthcare environments.

Requirements:

• Requires 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development with the ability to work across the stack.
• Proficiency in Javascript, React, and other modern web technologies, as well as one or more backend languages (Python is used).
• Experience with relational databases is necessary.
• Strong communication skills, customer-focused mindset, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a sense of ownership are essential.
• Must be a team player excited about disrupting the healthcare industry with AI/ML.
• Engineers are expected to meet regularly in-person in Boston.
