Description:
We are a venture-backed insurtech looking for entrepreneurial and highly motivated people to help strengthen our foundation and set the stage for fast and efficient scaling.
As a Full Stack Developer, you'll play a crucial role in building and maintaining both our frontend and backend systems, helping to shape the future of our platform.
You should be authorized to work in the US/Canada (we cannot sponsor at this time), have a Bachelor's Degree, and be comfortable working within the North American time zones.

Your responsibilities include designing and implementing features across our entire technology stack, building and maintaining scalable RESTful APIs, developing responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks, writing and maintaining clean, efficient, and well-documented code, driving improvements in engineering standards, ensuring comprehensive test coverage, debugging production issues, contributing to architectural decisions, and pushing the product, processes, and platform forward through innovative solutions.
Requirements:
You must have 4+ years of professional experience building full stack web applications/services.
Strong proficiency in both frontend and backend technologies is required, including TypeScript, Vue 3, HTML5, CSS (Tailwind, shadcn) for frontend, and Kotlin/Java or experience with Scala, Swift, C#, etc., for backend.
Experience building and maintaining scalable RESTful APIs is necessary.
You should have an understanding of distributed systems architecture and implementation.
A proven track record of implementing responsive, performant web applications is essential.
A strong foundation in software engineering best practices, including automated testing, code quality and review processes, system monitoring and alerting, and documentation, is required.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills across the full technology stack are necessary.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a bias toward action are important.
You must be able to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
Nice to have: Experience with AWS services (SQS, SNS, DynamoDB), Single Page Application development, knowledge of modern CI/CD practices, understanding of AWS/GCP, Document storage engines, API/client generation, and experience with micro-services architecture.
