Description:

  • Parallelz is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to join their team in Canada for a hybrid workplace setting.
  • The company is developing a new technology platform that allows developers to transform mobile apps into web-native apps that can run anywhere without the constraints of app stores.
  • As a Full Stack Product Engineer, you will work closely with the leadership team to invent and build capabilities and experiences for Parallelz users.
  • You will be involved in taking early versions of the technology to market and turning it into a product that will impact the industry.
  • The founding team and advisors come from top organizations like Google, Mozilla, Microsoft, and MIT Media Labs, and the company is backed by global venture funds and angel investors.
  • The role involves developing and driving the frontend and backend aspects of a new B2C consumer destination hub for applications, ensuring scalability, responsiveness, and user-centric design.
  • The Full-Stack Engineer will lead and shape strategic projects to enhance the platform's impact and reach.

Requirements:

  • Must have 3+ years of experience in full-stack development or a combination of frontend and backend engineering.
  • Experience with product development/engineering and basic familiarity with web applications architecture, single page applications (preferably React and Next.js), and network performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python, along with knowledge of web application best practices.
  • Nice-to-haves include experience with major cloud providers, WebAssembly, Rust, Java, Golang, C/C++, shipping software to production, scaling production software, product management, and a good eye for design.
