Remote Full Stack Engineer

Description:

• MediaLab is seeking a seasoned full stack engineer to work on projects within Genius, a global community-based application focused on music.
• The role involves collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams to implement new features and enhance existing products using Rails backend and React frontend.
• The engineer will be responsible for identifying and resolving infrastructure bottlenecks to scale backend services, taking ownership of features at both product and technical levels, and deploying to Production and Staging environments.
• The position will require a hands-on approach with a focus on front and back-end development, database management, and architecture design.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in shipping complex, user-focused features for full-stack web development.
• Significant expertise in Ruby on Rails or another web framework (Express, Django, Phoenix, NextJS, etc).
• Proficiency in at least one front-end framework such as React, Vue, Angular, or similar.
• Experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queries.
• Passion for continuous learning of new technologies and best practices.
