Description:
Spotify is redefining the audiobook industry with its innovative Audiobooks in Premium model.
The mission is to grow the audiobook business, ensuring high-quality and accessible content reaches the market.
The team is composed of cross-disciplinary members focused on ensuring seamless flow of publisher-ingested audiobook metadata through the pipeline.
As a Full Stack Engineer, you will work with a diverse and collaborative team to build features, tools, and scalable architecture for the Audiobooks business.
Responsibilities will vary frequently, requiring adaptability and a passion for dynamic environments.
You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to solve high-reaching problems and deliver value to creators and listeners.
The role supports individual growth through challenging problems and opportunities to acquire new skills via hack time, guilds, lectures, and internal training courses.
You will be responsible for delivering testable, maintainable, and high-quality code, as well as taking operational responsibility for the components you develop.
You will author and collaborate on technical RFCs to document approaches and share knowledge while promoting best practices.
Requirements:
You must have professional experience with modern web technologies such as Javascript, React, TypeScript, Python, AWS, Docker, and Next.js.
A passion for delivering end-to-end experiences and a strong understanding of software architecture across frontend, backend, and APIs is essential.
Proficiency in backend development, preferably in Java, and experience in handling system uptime and reliability is required.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary to ensure alignment across subject areas.
A commitment to quality and an understanding of what it means to ship high-quality code is expected.
You should value having fun, staying positive, and learning new things while working closely with your product team to bring value to customers.
