Description:

  • PostHog is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to own and scale their billing system, which is crucial for generating revenue.
  • The position is fully remote, with team members distributed between GMT-8 and GMT+2 time zones.
  • The interview process consists of four stages over two weeks, including a call with a Talent Partner, a technical interview, a culture and motivation interview, and a paid SuperDay.
  • The role is part of the Growth team, responsible for customer onboarding, subscription management, and payment processing.
  • Responsibilities include building a scalable billing system, iterating on subscription and payment flows, maintaining usage reporting systems, managing revenue dashboards, supporting new billing schemes, and improving the billing administration experience.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have experience in building and scaling billing systems.
  • A background as a full-stack engineer with a focus on backend development is required.
  • Applicants should possess a keen ability to navigate complex edge cases.
  • A working knowledge of SQL is necessary.
  • Candidates should have a passion for simplifying complex systems and be willing to refactor code.
  • Experience in starting projects from scratch, whether as a founder or through significant side projects, is essential.
  • Nice to have: Some experience with managing and deploying using Kubernetes (k8s).
