Description:
ClickHouse is seeking a Full Stack Engineer specializing in Billing for a remote position in the United States.
The company is known for its high-performance columnar OLAP database management system, which is significantly faster than traditional approaches.
The Billing Engineering team is responsible for developing the billing platform for ClickHouse Cloud, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure reliability, scalability, privacy, security, and compliance.
The role involves designing and building critical processes, creating secure and efficient frameworks, integrating with various systems, and partnering with multi-disciplinary teams to define optimal solutions.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of software development experience, 1+ years building billing systems, proficiency in technologies like React, Typescript, Serverless, and Node.JS, and expertise in billing concepts and public cloud providers.
Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to work are essential for this position.
Requirements:
5+ years of software development industry experience building front-end systems on the cloud.
1+ years of software development industry experience building billing or metering systems.
Proficiency in technologies such as React, Typescript, Serverless, Node.JS, with encouragement for multiple language proficiency.
Experience with billing concepts like credit card processing, usage-based billing, metering, CSP marketplaces, invoicing, sales tax, auditing, and record-keeping.
Experience leading and shipping large scope technical projects in collaboration with multiple experienced engineers.
Strong ownership and experience building and operating high-scale, distributed systems across the full software life cycle.
Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their infrastructure as a service offering.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and across engineering teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and solid production debugging skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, take ownership, and be accountable.
