Remote Full Stack Engineer - Billing

Description:

• The Full Stack Engineer - Billing will be responsible for building ClickHouse Cloud’s billing and metering platform.
• This role involves designing and building mission-critical processes that ensure operational continuity.
• The engineer will create with purpose, making informed decisions throughout the creative process to effectively present ideas and solutions to peers and stakeholders.
• The position requires delivering secure, efficient, mature, and highly available frameworks and platforms that simplify infrastructure complexity.
• Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams is essential to define business strategies, user needs, and optimal solutions.
• The engineer will integrate with various systems including Billing, Metering, Logging, Monitoring, and Support.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of relevant software development experience, specifically in building front-end systems on the cloud.
• A minimum of 1+ years of experience in developing billing or metering systems is required.
• Proficiency in technologies such as React, TypeScript, Serverless, and Node.JS is necessary, with encouragement for proficiency in multiple languages.
• Experience with billing concepts including credit card processing, usage-based billing, metering, CSP marketplaces, invoicing, sales tax, auditing, and record keeping is essential.
• Candidates should have experience leading and shipping large scope technical projects in collaboration with multiple engineers.
• A full-cycle developer mindset is required, with strong ownership and experience in building and operating high-scale, distributed systems across the software life cycle.
• Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their infrastructure as a service offerings is necessary.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within and across engineering teams are required.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and solid production debugging skills are essential.
• Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment and view themselves as partners with the business, sharing the goal of moving the business forward.
