Description:

  • ClickHouse is seeking a Full Stack Engineer specializing in Billing to join their team remotely in the United Kingdom.
  • The company is known for its high-performance columnar OLAP database management system, which is significantly faster than traditional approaches.
  • The Billing Engineering team is responsible for developing the billing platform for ClickHouse Cloud, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure reliability, scalability, privacy, security, and compliance.
  • The role involves designing and building critical processes, creating secure and efficient frameworks, integrating with different systems, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in front-end development, billing or metering systems, technologies like React, Typescript, Serverless, Node.JS, and expertise with public cloud providers.
  • Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to work are essential for this position.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software development experience in building front-end systems on the cloud.
  • 1+ years of experience in building billing or metering systems.
  • Proficiency in technologies such as React, Typescript, Serverless, Node.JS, with knowledge of multiple languages encouraged.
  • Familiarity with billing concepts like credit card processing, usage-based billing, metering, invoicing, sales tax, and auditing.
  • Experience leading and shipping large technical projects in collaboration with other engineers.
  • Expertise in building and operating high-scale distributed systems across the software life cycle.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, production debugging abilities, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork capabilities, and a sense of ownership and accountability.
