Remote Full Stack Engineer, Billing

Description:

• The Full Stack Engineer, Billing position at PostHog involves owning and scaling the billing system to ensure the company's revenue growth.
• Responsibilities include building a world-class billing system capable of scaling to over $100m in revenue, iterating and experimenting with subscription and payment flows, maintaining the usage reporting system, owning revenue dashboards, creating support for new billing schemes, and enhancing the billing administration experience for Sales and Customer Service.
• The role is part of the Growth team, responsible for ensuring customers can easily subscribe and pay for products.
• PostHog is an open-source platform that provides engineers with product and web analytics, session replay, feature flags, experiments, a CDP, SQL access, and a data warehouse.

Requirements:

• Experience as a full-stack engineer with a focus on the backend.
• Ability to think through and around edge cases.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Strong inclination towards simplifying complexity and refactoring.
• Experience starting a project from scratch, leading a project, being a founder, or building an impressive side project.
• Nice to have: Experience in building and scaling billing systems, and some experience managing and deploying with k8s.
