Remote Full-Stack Engineer

Description:

• The company Rye offers commerce APIs for developers to sell products without dealing with inventory ownership or logistics.
• The role involves working on eCommerce systems, order tracking, order placement, returns, and inventory management.
• Responsibilities include integrating with platforms like Amazon, Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce.
• Developing high-quality APIs for eCommerce and user-friendly interfaces using technologies like React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Collaborating with designers, implementing UI/UX designs, and improving SEO through server-side rendering.
• Setting up infrastructure on platforms like GCP and Netlify, creating tutorials, and internal tools for managing orders.
• Working independently and communicating effectively with a remote-first team.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in engineering frontend and backend systems, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Proficiency in building systems with a GraphQL API, GCP backend, React, Tailwind, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Experience with front-end build pipelines, deployment platforms like Netlify, and server-side rendering using Next.js.
• Passion for creating great user experiences in both backend and frontend development.
• Excellent communication skills, growth mindset, and ability to work independently under tight timelines.
