Description:

  • Moneytree is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to work on architecting, building, and securing the backend APIs for the LINK Platform team.
  • The role involves evolving the platform that is central to Moneytree's core business and ensuring the critical systems are operational.
  • The position offers the opportunity to solve challenging problems that impact a large user base and emphasizes a customer-first mindset.
  • The engineer will collaborate with the team to design, build, and maintain systems, improve observability of production systems, and resolve customer software issues.
  • Responsibilities also include building RESTful APIs in Ruby, managing server-side infrastructure in AWS, and developing Web UIs and SDKs in TypeScript and React.
  • The role encourages learning about the finance domain in-depth and communicating with stakeholders to deliver suitable solutions.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical skills in Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, and React are required.
  • Proficiency in web applications, API authentication schemes, and distributed system design is essential.
  • The candidate should demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work integrated with the larger system, including test coverage and documentation.
  • Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are necessary.
  • Keeping up-to-date with technology trends and advocating for technical excellence are expected.
  • Experience with public cloud providers like AWS or GCP, DevOps/SRE concepts, and integrating web applications into native mobile applications is welcomed.
  • Proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
