Description:

  • Calendly is seeking a Full Stack Engineer III to join their Engineering team, which focuses on innovation to enhance customer experience.
  • The engineer will report to an Engineering Manager and will be responsible for supporting features and architecture that maintain user confidence in Calendly.
  • The role involves working on the transition of the Calendly platform from a monolith to various services to facilitate scaling.
  • Responsibilities include building new features, scaling the platform and architecture, and creating tooling and automation for the delivery process.
  • The engineer will work with technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Rails, NodeJS, React, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
  • Daily tasks include collaborating with the team to build features for enterprise customers, contributing to platform scaling initiatives, meeting with Product and Design teams, attending agile ceremonies, improving engineering practices, reviewing implementation plans, and mentoring team members.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 7+ years of Software Development experience at a SaaS or technology company.
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and microservices is required.
  • Applicants should have experience in transitioning from a monolith to services architecture.
  • Proficiency in Rails, Node, or a comparable web-app development framework is necessary.
  • A strong drive to create clean, reliable, and maintainable code is essential.
  • Candidates must be available for on-call rotation to respond to business-critical alerts outside of regular working hours.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship.
