Description:
The Full Stack Engineer III position at Calendly involves working on decomposing the monolithic platform into various services to scale the platform and team.
Responsibilities include building new features, scaling the platform and architecture, and developing tooling and automation.
The engineer will work with technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Rails, NodeJS, React, Golang, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
Collaboration with the team to build features for enterprise customers, contributing to platform scaling initiatives, and participating in agile ceremonies are part of the daily tasks.
The role also involves mentoring team members, reviewing implementation plans, and participating in Engineering practices improvement at Calendly.
Requirements:
3+ years of Software Development experience at a SaaS or technology company is required.
Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) (microservices) and surviving a Monolith to Services architectural rebuild is necessary.
Proficiency in Rails, Node, or a comparable web-app development framework is essential.
Experience with TypeScript is preferred, along with the ability to choose the right language for the job.
The candidate should be skilled in crafting simple software solutions to complex problems and in writing clean, reliable, and maintainable code.
Availability for on-call rotation and authorization to work lawfully in the United States of America are mandatory.
