Description:

  • The Full Stack Engineer III position at Calendly involves working on decomposing the monolithic platform into various services to scale the platform and team.
  • Responsibilities include building new features, scaling the platform and architecture, and developing tooling and automation.
  • The engineer will work with technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Rails, NodeJS, React, Golang, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
  • Collaboration with the team to build features for enterprise customers, contributing to platform scaling initiatives, and participating in agile ceremonies are part of the daily tasks.
  • The role also involves mentoring team members, reviewing implementation plans, and participating in Engineering practices improvement at Calendly.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Software Development experience at a SaaS or technology company is required.
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) (microservices) and surviving a Monolith to Services architectural rebuild is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Rails, Node, or a comparable web-app development framework is essential.
  • Experience with TypeScript is preferred, along with the ability to choose the right language for the job.
  • The candidate should be skilled in crafting simple software solutions to complex problems and in writing clean, reliable, and maintainable code.
  • Availability for on-call rotation and authorization to work lawfully in the United States of America are mandatory.
