Remote Full Stack Engineer, Machine Learning

Description:

• Vannevar Labs is seeking a Full Stack Engineer with a focus on Machine Learning to contribute to building defense software for national security.
• The role involves taking ownership of projects and delivering impactful capabilities by leveraging Machine Learning and AI technologies.
• Responsibilities include working on the LLM service, developing user-friendly interfaces and APIs, architecting efficient front-end systems, and integrating machine learning services into user-facing products.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in software development for user-facing products, with a strong command of JavaScript.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in building responsive and performant web UIs, including proficiency in front-end frameworks like React, is preferred.
• 2+ years of full stack development experience, familiarity with relational databases, caching technologies, and object stores is required.
• Applicants should have 3+ years of backend engineering experience with real-time and async applications.
• Prior knowledge of LLMs and prompt engineering is a bonus, but a willingness to learn and excel in this area is highly valued.
• US residency or citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this role.
