Description:

Flexcar is redefining car ownership with a flexible vehicle subscription service that offers a smarter and more sustainable way for people to drive.
The company is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer - React Specialist (SDE-2) with strong expertise in ReactJS and a willingness to work on the Ruby backend.
In this role, the engineer will build seamless, scalable, and intuitive web applications that enhance customer experiences and internal tools.
Responsibilities include building high-quality, responsive web applications with ReactJS, developing and maintaining backend APIs and services in Ruby, and collaborating closely with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams to deliver features end-to-end.
The engineer will participate in technical design discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, review code, mentor peers, and help maintain high engineering standards.
Troubleshooting issues and continuously improving system performance and reliability are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6–8 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
A strong command of ReactJS, including functional components, hooks, and state management, is required.
Candidates must be prepared to ramp up on Ruby quickly and contribute code using Ruby for backend services.
A solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs is necessary.
Experience integrating with backend services and working across the full tech stack is essential.
Candidates should have past experience working in fast-paced environments with quick release cycles.
The ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code is required.
Strong collaboration and communication skills are necessary, along with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
